| Is An Electric Bike Really What You Want? |
|
Today, with such a variety of electric bicycles and mountain bikes out there, how do you know what’s right for you? At most bike shops, you can find a wide selection of electric bikes and conventional bikes that includes road bikes, mountain bicycles, beach cruiser bicycles, hybrid bikes, comfort bikes, touring bikes, and those new trendsetters - "City path" bikes. With all this multitude of choices, how do you determine whether a beach cruiser bike is right for you? One good way to determine whether an electric bike -- or another bicycle -- is right for you is to rent it. Many hotels and tourist destinations have electric bikes for rent. Taking this sort of bike on a ride will quickly give you an idea of just how suitable it is for you. You don't want to spend up to $5000 on an electric bike until you've actually tried it and seen for yourself whether it is really what you need. However, if you want a fancy bicycle that looks great and makes you smile while you ride, a beach bike might be right for you. Traditional schwinn beach bikes have become retro, with beautifully designed swooping handlebars and bright colors. If you want to ride around your neighborhood and enjoy a lifestyle that includes activity as well as comfort, these might be for you. The general rule of the thumb - before purchasing any sort of bike, you need to consider your overall fitness level. Back pains or heart problems should be a red flag to using mountain bikes because you will only make it worse for yourself rather than get the exercise you need. If you have a hard time staying on bikes alike due to pain or if you're not yet fit enough to go blazing down trails, a small but comfy beach cruiser will allow you to spin around the neighborhood and enjoy just the right amount of physical activity without getting too tired. |
